ACTIVE PARTICIPANT 2025 DEADLINES – ALL FEES NON-REFUNDABLE:

EARLY BIRD DEADLINE (priority scholarship consideration): February 15, 2025: $35

REGULAR DEADLINE (priority scholarship consideration): MARCH 15, 2025: $55

LATE DEADLINE: AFTER MARCH 15, 2025: $100

IF APPLYING AS A DUO, TRIO, OR A GROUP, EACH MEMBER OF THE GROUP SHOULD FILL OUT THE APPLICATION FORM.

Eligibility: all violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists are welcome to apply. You may be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree, taking a gap year (or more), or working professionally (freelancing, teaching, working at an institution, etc).

Applicants will be notified of their status as soon as possible after March 15, 2025.

Upon acceptance, the participants will receive a letter of invitation to be signed and returned by April 1, 2025, along with a non-refundable $500 deposit (the deposit will be applied towards tuition cost).

A full payment of tuition must be postmarked by April 30, 2025.

IN ORDER TO APPLY AS AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT, YOU WILL NEED: 

 

    1. Completed application form (if applying as a group, each member must fill out the application form, and specify the other members of the group)

    1. Résumé and headshot(s) (to be uploaded in the application form).

    1. Two or more video recordings made within a year from the application deadline.


          a. ) The videos must include at least two contrasting selections: tempo, character, and style.

          b. ) The videos must be sent as Youtube or Dropbox links.

    1. The $35 (by February 15), $55 (by March 15), or $100 (after March 15) non-refundable application fee via check, Zelle or Paypal with the email: collaborativepianoinstitute@gmail.com

    1. Auditors do not need to pay an application fee.

Tuition for the String Institute is $1,200 for two weeks. Merit scholarships are available, more information in the application form. Room and board are optional.
