Housing

The CPI housing fee covers a room at the beautiful University of Michigan campus for the full three weeks of the Institute.

Option No. 1: On-campus housing ($800)

Housing at the University of Michigan will be hosted at one of the two main residence halls in the North Campus, near the School of Music. The dormitories are double occupancy with en-suite bathrooms, and have access to a community kitchen. Additionally, participants are invited to rent a microwave, mini-fridge, or microwave/mini-fridge combination for their room from the University.

Option No. 2: Off-campus housing

Of course, you are welcome to make your own off-campus housing arrangements (for example: hotel, AirBnB, subletting from a University of Michigan student, or staying with friends or relatives). If a car isn’t available to you, please, carefully review the local public transportation websites, so you’re aware of your transportation options: Ann Arbor Transportation Authority (small fee) and University of Michigan Campus Transit (free to guests on campus).
